Cowboy Howell

There's a certain cowboy in our town, Folks call him "Cowboy Howell!"

 
He has a sidekick named Tileta ... Such a pretty little gal!

They ride the range together, In their merry automobile;

Searching for lost strays for Jesus, And helping wounded souls to heal.

Now, Cowboy Howell doesn't wear any spurs. His Bible is his gun.

He uses Scriptures for his bullets, To put the devil on the run.

His lariat is made from God's own Holy Word, And before you know what it's all about,

You are roped and tied and on your knees, And so happy you could shout!

On Sundays here at our dear church, The devil doesn't stay around.

He knows when the bullets start flying, They can surely mow him down.

Now, I've read of famous cowboys, In history books and fiction;

But Cowboy Howell is the one to fear ... When your soul is under conviction!
