Learn more about Awana Clubs

A light meal is served at 5:15 p.m. to Awana club members and workers. The Awana club meets from 5:45 – 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday during the school year. When the Houston School District is not in session, Awana also is closed. There are classes for children ages 2 through the fifth grade.
Puggles is for 2- and 3-year-olds.
They are introduced to Biblical precepts at church and equipping parents to teach them at home. Toddlers love having their very own Awana club just like their older siblings. Lessons teach and reinforce four basic Biblical precepts:
  • Good made everything
  • God saw that it was good
  • God is love
  • Give thanks

Cubbies is a two-year program for 4- and 5-year-old preschools or until they start kindergarten.
Whether it is the fun puppets, the exciting games or all their Cubbies friends, they simply love it. At Story Time each week, preschools learn about God – the greatness of His love and His Word – and about His Son, Jesus Christ, the promised Savior. Non-competitive games build excitement and reinforce Story Time lesson themes.

Sparks is for kindergarten through second grade. Sparks is divided into three years, each with a unique rank: HangGlider®, WingRunner® and SkyStorm™. Each year, Sparks clubbers:

  • Explore the biographies of people of the Bible from a new portion of Scripture
  • Memorize Bible verses
  • Complete handbook activities

The handbooks, combined with Large Group Time lessons from the “Who do I need to know from the Bible series, take your child on a journey through the entire Bible!

Truth and Training is the oldest group for third through fifth grades.
